 Rights and Responsibilities

👤 Customer Responsibilities

As a customer of Packitt, you agree to:
 

  • Provide accurate and complete information about your move (items, locations, access, stairs, heavy items, etc.)

  • Ensure all items are properly packed, unless packing services are requested

  • Clearly label fragile or high-value items

  • Be present (or have a representative present) during pickup and delivery

  • Ensure safe and legal access to both locations (parking, permits if needed)

  • Remove or disclose any hazardous materials (flammables, explosives, chemicals, etc.)

  • Make full payment on time as agreed

  • Report any damage or issues within 7 days of service

🚚 Packitt Responsibilities

Packitt agrees to:
 

  • Provide professional moving services with trained personnel

  • Handle all items with reasonable care and protection

  • Arrive within the agreed time window (subject to delays)

  • Communicate clearly regarding timing, delays, and service updates

  • Provide Full Value Protection coverage as outlined in the policy

  • Maintain proper equipment and transportation for safe moving

  • Respect customer property and privacy at all times

⚖️ Customer Rights

As a customer, you have the right to:
 

  • Receive clear and upfront pricing and estimates

  • Be informed of any changes or delays

  • File a damage claim within the allowed timeframe

  • Expect professional and respectful service

  • Request proof of agreement, services, and charges

🛑 Packitt Rights

Packitt reserves the right to:
 

  • Refuse service if conditions are unsafe or hazardous

  • Adjust pricing if job details differ from what was originally provided

  • Stop work if payment is not made as agreed

  • Decline to move prohibited or dangerous items

  • Charge additional fees for:

    • Stairs, long carries, or heavy/specialty items

    • Last-minute changes or delays caused by the customer

⚠️ Shared Responsibility

Both Packitt and the customer agree to:

  • Communicate clearly before and during the move

  • Work together to ensure a safe and efficient moving process

  • Act in good faith to resolve any issues
